simoneimages.com_bmc2018-35.jpgRun for girls, by girls, and starring girls, the Bat Mitzvah Club aims to develop leadership skills and responsibility in young Jewish women by giving them a deeper Jewish perspective on this special time in their lives, and providing unique and meaningful experiences. Positions are rotated among the club members. Every meeting includes a fun, hands-on activity. Throughout the year, club members learn about the significance of Bat Mitzvah, the role of a Jewish woman and the special mitzvot relevant to women. The club culminates with a beautiful celebration and dinner.

In the members own words:
“My experiences in the Bat Mitzvah Club have been one of a kind. I enjoyed this club very much.” Ivy

“This experience has taught me about becoming a Jewish woman and the responsibilities it takes to be one. I will always remember what this Bat Mitzvah Club has taught me.” Danielle

“I felt that the Bat Mitzvah Club made me realize who I am,and all about how important women’s role in Judaism is. What I liked about BMC was the experience of being with a whole bunch of girls, and learning about the laws of Judaism.” Margot
